Visitors to Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping can pick up more than their shopping at a special Lakeside Health Day event on Friday 4 September, with health checks, screening and wellbeing advice at the centre from 10am until 3pm.
Lyndsey Parry, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “"We are really pleased to host our first Lakeside Village Health Day this September and have partnered with Public Health and the NHS to provide a range of services, from health checks and cervical screenings to the opportunity to book your mammogram.
"We'll have all the health buses on site, with the PCD Van Vinnie offering cervical screening and stop smoking support, the Weston Park Big Purple Bus offering cancer support services, and the RDASH bus with Macmillan and the breast screening unit on board, booking appointments for those who are due for screening.

“We know that sometimes people miss screenings or booking appointments as busy lives get in the way.
“We've brought these services to Lakeside Village for the day to make healthcare even more accessible for the Doncaster community.“
“We hope that our customers will make the most of the services available and that anyone with concerns will come along and talk to the teams.”
The Ride, Stride and Thrive team will also be on hand with a range of bikes, showcasing the different types available for people to learn to ride through their programme.
The Lung Health Check Mobile Unit is also currently based at The Lakeside Village Outlet.
There will be three opportunities throughout the day to pop down with the team to look around the facility and learn how the free NHS lung cancer screening programme is helping to detect lung cancer earlier.
Hannah Lee, Public Health Improvement Coordinator at Doncaster Council, said: “Community Health Days like this are so important and play a vital role in increasing awareness and uptake of screening.
When we take health services into our communities, we remove barriers and create opportunities for people to learn about screening in a relaxed and familiar environment.
Days like this are important because they bring trusted advice and support into local spaces, helping residents make informed choices about their health and wellbeing."
