The 17-year-old from Edenthorpe is currently studying for her A-levels - and says she is excited to see what the future holds after landing the role.

Felicity said: “I responded to an Instagram post which was looking for four girls to represent a fragrance brand.

“I didn’t think too much about it, but then they got in touch and said they wanted me to audition.”

And that led to Felicity landing a role in the drama which focuses on four women - Amaka, Aisha, Bella and Mika, all hard-working women navigating life as young people in the capital

Across the five shorts, viewers will see a story of career dilemmas and new crushes, to getting ready for a night out, with viewers watching their lives unfold through the intimacy of their group chat, capturing the energy, humour and unfiltered support of modern womanhood.

Produced in partnership with global beauty brand Sol de Janeiro, Channel 4 says The Guest List brings to life “a modern story of friendship and individual relationships, self-expression and the joy – and trials – of being a young person today.”

Felicity of Edenthorpe stars as a finance intern named Bella, and the series is her debut role in a drama.

Filming took place last month and she added: “It was great seeing what goes on behind the scenes at a television production.

“I’m currently focusing on my A-levels and then looking at going to university, which is my focus right now, but who knows what the future holds.

Felicity, a dancer since the age of two and who has also done modelling, said; “It was amazing to work with professional actors who have done some big roles. To be considered an equal and have my own assistant on set was mad!”

She says the new series focuses on women’s empowerment - a message she is keen to get across and said: “There are some powerful scenes. We’re telling the story of four different girls from four different backgrounds and with different body types, but all powerful in different ways. That’s a message I really wanted to portray.”

The series also stars Deba Hekmat as photographer Aisha, Jadesola Odunjo (from Netflix’s You) plays PR guru Amaka and Mia Ito Smith as fashion assistant Mika.

The series will premiere on Channel 4’s Meta, TikTok and YouTube social platforms from 24 October.

Channel 4’s Ameenah Taher, said: “We're always looking to anticipate where audiences and storytelling are heading next.

“I’m proud to have commissioned Channel 4’s first branded micro drama foray into this space. It is a bold, character-led series exploring the friendship, ambition and lives of a diverse group of intelligent young women. We are excited to have collaborated with Sol de Janeiro to bring this series to life.”
