Hornsby, of Florence Avenue, Balby, appeared in the dock in a grey suit with a white shirt and pleaded not guilty to both charges.
A trial date was set for summer 2027.
He has been released on bail.
A spokesperson for Doncaster Labour said: "The Labour Party condemns sexual violence in the strongest possible terms and in no way tolerates behaviour of this kind within the Party."
It is understood Hornsby was suspended from the Labour Party shortly after the party was made aware of the allegations.
