The special garden will provide a peaceful and supportive outdoor space for patients, helping to improve their wellbeing during their time in hospital.

A school spokesperson said: “As part of our fundraising efforts, our children took part in a fantastic community litter pick, showing their commitment to caring for our local environment whilst raising money for such a worthwhile cause.

“Armed with litter pickers, bags and lots of enthusiasm, the children worked together to clean up our school grounds, the surrounding streets and Edlington Recreation Ground. They collected an incredible number of bags of litter, making a real difference to our local community.
