The neighbouring counties of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire were not so lucky and have been told they will Tier 4 from midnight.

Hide AdAnnouncing the rule changes in the House of Commons, Mr Hancock said: "I know that tier three and four measures place a significant burden on people, and especially on businesses affected, but I am afraid it is absolutely necessary because of the number of cases that we've seen."
