Her family said: “We are so incredibly proud of Gracie and the kind-hearted little girl she is.

“This was all Gracie’s own idea.

“Having had long hair for as long as she can remember, she’s decided that she wants to have the big chop and donate her beautiful hair to The Little Princess Trust, so that it can be made into a wig for a child who has lost their own hair.

“When we asked her why she wanted to do it, it was simply because she wanted to help make another little girl happy.

“As a mum, it makes me so proud to see her thinking of others and wanting to do something so special.

“It’s a big change for her, especially after having long hair for so many years, but she is so excited to be doing something that could make such a difference to somebody else.”

Alongside donating her hair, Gracie is hoping to raise money to help towards the cost of making these beautiful real-hair wigs.

Each wig costs around £700 to provide, and The Little Princess Trust provides them free of charge to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

The charity also supports vital childhood cancer research, helping to find kinder and more effective treatments.

Her mum added: “If you are able to spare anything at all, we would be so grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help this amazing charity continue the work they do.

“Thank you so much for supporting Gracie and helping her turn her big hair chop into something truly special. We couldn’t be prouder of you, Gracie.”
