Doncaster drivers warned of roadworks at major city road junction
The works will include lane closures and will last for two weeks
Drivers in Doncaster are being warned of delays and disruption as roadworks take place at a major city junction.
The works will impact drivers on Bennetthorpe, Bawtry Road and the Racecourse Roundabout, City of Doncaster Council has said.

Starting from Monday 16 November, and expected to last for a period of two weeks, lane closures will be in effect along Bennetthorpe, Bawtry Road and the Racecourse Roundabout.
A spokesperson said: “To minimise the impact on traffic and journey times, this disruption will only be taking place between 9:30 am and 3:30pm on weekdays.
“The closures are to enable the first stage of important safety works that will benefit everyone traveling through the area, whether it’s by car, foot, bike or public transport.

“Made up of several parts, this wider scheme will see street lighting, crossings and traffic signals being improved along the busy route, as well as enhancements to various other key facilities.
“We appreciate your patience while these important works are completed, so that we can make your everyday journeys through Doncaster safer.
“While the lane closure are in effect, we ask that you please set aside extra time for your travel plans down Bawtry Road and Bennetthorpe.”
