Schuh unveils refreshed Meadowhall stores with giveaways and free matcha drinks to celebrate
Fashion footwear retailer schuh is celebrating the refurbishment of its two Meadowhall stores – schuh and schuh Kids – to give shoppers even better in-store experiences.
The refurbishment forms part of schuh’s ongoing in-store investment and its wider ‘new schuh’ concept, as the brand continues to evolve its stores to become an even stronger destination for the hottest footwear. Updates include a brighter, more open and immersive layout, digital screens showcasing the latest styles and campaigns, and easy-to-use click and collect kiosks.

The new-look schuh Kids reopened on Friday February 13, with the adult schuh store set to relaunch later this week on Saturday February 28, stocking leading footwear brands including Converse, New Balance, Nike, ASICS, Saucony, Vans, UGG, Birkenstock and Dr. Martens.
To celebrate, on Saturday, schuh will be partnering with Converse to treat customers to free matcha drinks from MADE on Ecclesall Road and to host a customisation station with Brandie, alongside exclusive activities and giveaways across the re-opening weekend. Shoppers can also sign up to ‘THE SCHUH CLUB’ to be in with a chance of winning a pair of Converse. Plus, there are complimentary goody bags with purchases of £65 or more (while stocks last).
As part of schuh’s mission to use its platform to ‘Do More Good’, the brand has partnered with plastic fabrication specialist Floreeda to upcycle leftover acrylic from old store displays into new REFLO shoe displays in-store. Customers can also take part in the ‘Sell Your Soles’ footwear takeback scheme, donating pre-loved shoes in return for £5 off their next purchase.
Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, commented: “It’s really exciting to see our big brands investing in their Meadowhall stores to help create an even better experience for our visitors. We’re very much looking forward to the opening of the adult schuh store this week, and all the fun schuh are bringing over the course of the weekend.”
Neil Partington, chief retail officer at schuh, said: "Reopening our stores in Meadowhall is a significant moment for schuh, strengthening our presence in Sheffield and across Yorkshire. Meadowhall has long been one of the region's most important retail destinations and we're proud to be investing in a location that plays such a key role in the local retail landscape."
