‘Uncomfortable conversations’ - Jordan Thomas on how Doncaster Rovers addressed MK Dons loss
Jordan Thomas shares his thoughts on the loss to MK Dons and the team’s response since then
Doncaster Rovers winger Jordan Thomas says he is pleased with the way the team regrouped against Rochdale after their horror-show performance against MK Dons on Saturday.
Thomas found the net for the first time since his move from Cheltenham during the 6-1 loss at Stadium MK, claiming that was the only slight positive from an otherwise bleak afternoon of football.
The 25-year-old was one of the names to attend an extra training session on Sunday as Grant McCann and his team reflected on what went wrong.

“We've had a lot of conversations,” Thomas told the Free Press.
“Obviously, we're very disappointed in the way it finished and in our performance. But yeah, we had a lot of conversations and difficult, uncomfortable ones. A tough couple of days.
“But we’ve come back with loads of confidence and hopefully we can hopefully do that again Saturday in the FA Cup.”
Thomas struggled for form in his early weeks in DN4, failing to register a goal contribution in his first nine appearances before coming off the bench to register an assist for fellow summer signing Isaac Hutchinson during the 2-0 victory over Peterborough United before the international break.
However, just as he’d started to show signs of his promise, he was waylaid by injury, coming off just 12 minutes into the win over Burton Albion, after a solid performance earlier that week against Liverpool in the EFL Trophy.
Thomas was eased back into the action but is now starting to find his stride again, scoring against MK Dons and registering two assists from the bench against Rochdale in the EFL Trophy.
He added: “Obviously, that's probably the only thing that was good on Saturday, was the scoring. But yeah, it didn't really matter too much at the end, which is disappointing.
“But yeah scoring and then assisting today is definitely helping with confidence and I just want to keep going and hopefully help the team a lot more.”
Thomas has climbed through the ranks, starting out at Didcot Town, North Leigh and later Bath City before making his Football League debut with Cheltenham Town.
However, despite his experience of non-league, he’s never previously crossed paths with Kidderminster, but is looking forward to the challenge.
Thomas said: “It's going to be a first for me. I've played a lot of non-league teams, but yeah, it'll be another one to tick off and hopefully one we can win.”
