Doncaster named among UK places where you have to work the longest to afford a holiday
Doncaster is among the UK places where residents have to work the longest to pay for a holiday, new figures show.

A study by Travel FX looked at 47 UK cities and areas. For each one, it compared median hourly pay with the £1,007 that Brits typically spend while on holiday abroad, according to the ONS.
Doncaster residents earn a median £16.88 an hour. At that rate, it takes 59.65 hours of work to cover a typical holiday, or 7.95 working days of 7.5 hours.
That puts Doncaster 13th in the ranking, and more than six and a half hours above the UK average of 53 hours.
In London, the quickest place to earn a holiday, workers need just 43.78 hours, almost 16 hours less than in Doncaster.
