Popular Doncaster Rovers event gets 'refresh' amid eye-raising date clash
The date of this year's Meet the Owners event has been confirmed by Doncaster Rovers.
The annual event sees Rovers chairman Terry Bramall flanked by chief executive Gavin Baldwin and manager Grant McCann and afforded supporters the chance to quiz the three men on a range of topics.

Last year's event was extremely news-worthy with topics such as Bramall's succession plan discussed as well as McCann's premonition about chasing down then-League Two leaders Walsall despite being well adrift of them at that stage of the season.
Now, Rovers have confirmed this year's event will take place on Monday, February 2. The event will once again be held in the Jibba Jabba restaurant, located in the East Stand. Doors will open at 6pm with the event set to begin at 6.30pm and close no later than 8.30pm.
The club say tickets remain free but that booking is required. They also say that "in a refresh of the event, the room is to be set with tables, with supporters offered the opportunity to dine using the popular UP2U menu, featuring the best of the street food offering from our catering partners, DN4 Events."
Some fans may notice that the date of the event clashes with the all-important winter transfer deadline. The cut-off point is 7pm on this night - just as the Meet the Owners event is in full swing.
Rovers are usually loathe to do any business right near the end of the window with McCann often preferring to get the bulk of his signings done well before the cut-off point. So far Rovers have signed five players this month.
