Henshall is to leave Rovers on Friday to take up the role of head of emerging talent and loans at Aston Villa, ending a 17-month spell at the Keepmoat.

It is hoped there can be a handover process with his successor, who will lead the identification of potential transfer targets.

Rovers are keen to have their senior management team in place at the start of the summer.
