Doncaster Rovers poised to appoint new talent identification manager
Doncaster Rovers are poised to finalise the appointment of their new head of talent identification in the next few days, the Free Press understands.
Interviews for the role were held late last week with an outstanding candidate emerging who was considering a job offer over the weekend.
It is understood that Rovers have been delighted with the quality of applicants seeking to succeed Adam Henshall in the role.
Henshall was involved in the interviewing process along with Andy Butler and chief executive Gavin Baldwin. Chairman David Blunt met with shortlisted candidates before the final decision was made.
Henshall is to leave Rovers on Friday to take up the role of head of emerging talent and loans at Aston Villa, ending a 17-month spell at the Keepmoat.
It is hoped there can be a handover process with his successor, who will lead the identification of potential transfer targets.
Rovers are keen to have their senior management team in place at the start of the summer.
