You can still visit us, say Doncaster pub bosses amid series of road closures
Bosses have told customers the pub is still open for business
Bosses at a popular Doncaster countryside pub have told customers “come and visit us” amid a series of road closures and diversions making travel to the bar difficult.
The Anne Arms at Sutton took aim at City of Doncaster Council over roadworks which have caught out customers.
In a social media post, a pub spokesperson said: “The pub trade is hard enough these days without the help of Doncaster Council closing two out of the thee routes to us without prior notice of one of them, including road closure signs at Campsall meaning nobody would travel to us
“Apologies to people who were trying to get to us and failed, we know of a few bookings that cancelled short notice.”
In a later update, pub bosses said: *Sutton Road has now reopened so you can visit us from the direction of Askern and Campsall.
