Police probe reports of 'peeping tom' and underwear thief in Doncaster street
It comes after the victim says a man was watching her through her bathroom window
Police have launched a probe into a ‘peeping tom’ and underwear thief after a victim reported being watched by a man through her bathroom window in Doncaster.
Officers are investigating following the incident in Bessacarr earlier this week.

A post about the incident, widely shared on social media urged people to be aware of the ‘pervert’ and ‘peeping tom’ and said: “Someone climbed onto the extension roof of my house and was peering through my bathroom window, watching me while I was in the bathroom.
“At first, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. But when I moved closer to the window, he was still there - he just moved into the corner of the window and carried on watching me.
“Absolutely terrified, I ran to get my husband. When my husband came into the bathroom and approached the window, this disgusting creep got scared and jumped off the extension roof.
Both my husband and I heard a very loud bang as he landed on the ground.
“The worrying thing is that this actually started around six months ago.

“One night, we came home unusually late, and I'd left some washing out in the garden overnight. My underwear had disappeared from the washing line.
“Just a few days later, something similar happened to my neighbour. She had her bathroom window slightly open and actually saw a figure lurking outside her window.
“I'd also spotted someone at my bathroom window before, but I was absolutely exhausted at the time and convinced myself I was imagining things.
Now I know for certain that someone is creeping around the neighbourhood at night, spying on women through their bathroom windows!
This is absolutely terrifying, disgusting and a complete invasion of privacy. I dread to think what this person might do next.
“Make sure your windows are secure and be extra vigilant, especially at night.”
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “At 11.48pm on Wednesday 4 November we were called to reports of a suspicious person at St Wilfrid’s Road, Doncaster.
“It is reported that an unknown man was in their garden.
“Officers attended and conducted an area search for the man to no gain.
“No offences were identified in connection with the incident.”
