Police confirm death of man in Doncaster motorway crash and fire

Police have confirmed that a man has died after a crash and subsequent fire on a Doncaster motorway.
Emergency services were called to the M180 last week - and police have now confirmed that the driver was killed in the tragedy.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “At 9.57pm on Wednesday 22 July, we responded to a collision on the M180 westbound at the junction with the M18 roundabout.
“This was a single vehicle collision in which a man in his 30s sadly lost his life.”
The motorway was shut for most of the following day to allow repairs to be carried out.
Photos from the scene showed a vehicle ablaze in woodland alongside the intersection.
