A Doncaster trainer enthusiast has penned a book delving into the world of football culture and terrace fashion, focusing on sportswear giant Adidas.
Adidas on the Terrace by Garry Dickson is described as “a nostalgic journey through football culture and the iconic Adidas trainers that defined it.
"From terrace style to street swagger, this is the story of stripes, lads, and loyalty.
"Packed with history, stories, and swagger, this is a tribute to the golden age of football fashion – where Gazelles, Sambas, and Spezials weren’t just shoes... they were statements.

Gary describes himself as being passionate about football, culture, and nostalgia.
A spokesperson said: “His writing captures the grit, charm, and spirit of bygone eras, particularly 1980s Britain. With a background in storytelling and a deep love for the terraces, Garry brings forgotten voices and memories back to life.
"Adidas on the Terrace pays tribute to the raw, unfiltered days of football fandom.”
