A triple award-winning Doncaster butcher is marking the finale of this year’s Six Nations in style – by serving up sausages representing each of the countries in the rugby union contest.

Darren’s Family Butchers in Wheatley Hill is marking the conclusion of the tournament with six different varieties of banger – and the special range comes juts days after the business scooped three accolades at the British Pie Awards.

Owner Darren Kitching said: “It’s the Six Nations final this weekend and to celebrate, we’ve fired up a special line-up of sausages inspired by the home nations – and our rivals).

England – Classic Old English

Scotland – Traditional Beef Lorne

Ireland – Black Pepper, Garlic and Country Herbs

Italy – Cumin and Sweet Garlic ,Ginger

Wales – Chilli and Leek

France – Garlic, Red Wine and Mixed Herbs

At the weekend, three of his tasty pie creations scooped success at the British Pie Awards, beating off more than 1,000 pie makers from across the country.

His steak and ale pie and traditonal pork pie both picked up silver awards, while his chilli pork pie was awarded bronze.
