Just days left to win £5,000 with Cast's new charity lottery
Doncaster residents have only a few days left to enter a massive £5,000 cash draw, following the incredibly successful launch of Cast’s brand-new weekly lottery.
Anyone who signs up to support the theatre before the 31 May deadline will be included in June’s giant superdraw.
Launched at the beginning of May, the initiative has already seen huge support from across the city, with over 50 supporters signing up in its first few weeks alone.
For just £2 a week, players are entered into a weekly draw with 31 cash prizes up for grabs, including a £1,000 jackpot, monthly draws for two theatre tickets and massive
quarterly superdraws.
From every play, 60% (£1.20) goes directly to Cast, providing vital income against a challenging funding landscape for the arts. As Doncaster’s only professional theatre,
the funds raised stay in the city to change lives through creativity, whether empowering a young person to build life-changing confidence with Cast’s Youth Theatre, helping a local artist develop their craft, or welcoming someone feeling isolated into a supportive community project.
James Blakey, Director at Cast, said: “The fantastic response to this lottery since its launch highlights just how much our audiences value having a venue on their doorstep that celebrates creativity and community.
“By taking part, you become a direct supporter of our work, from our parent and baby sessions, to our 200 strong youth theatre, to our talent development programme, all the way through to the shows on our main stage. And you give yourself a chance of winning great prizes too. It’s win-win.”
Andrew Watson, Head of Giant Cash Bonanza, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Cast and celebrate such a successful launch for their new lottery. They have joined a growing group of theatres and diverse good causes across our network, creating a massive impact for players and communities alike.
“The phenomenal turnout from Doncaster players since the launch shows just how deeply valued Cast is, and we are proud to have them join our network.”
To ensure you are included in the June superdraw, make sure to secure your entry before the deadline on 31 May.
