The dancer/choreographer is closely connected to Doncaster Minster and will be tying the knot there with his girlfriend Samantha later this year.

He decided he wanted to offer Streetdance classes to young people and adults in the town he has made home for the past 10 years to encourage and motivate them to follow their creative dreams, even if they cannot afford to pay.

Kaspar was inspired by the music and dance of Michael Jackson when he was growing up in Latvia and dance and creativity has remained at the heart of what he has done since then. Young people over the age of 10 and adults are welcome to come along to try some moves for themselves.

You don’t need any experience, but you should be prepared to join in and try new things. The sessions are open to males and females and if you are under 16 you should be accompanied by an adult. Wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in and bring a smile.

The classes run from Tuesday January 19 until Tuesday March 15 and are free of charge. They start at 6pm and finish at 7pm in the main Doncaster Minster space under the tower.

Anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. The sessions will be supervised by volunteers and there will be access to toilet facilities.

For further information, call the Minster office on 01302 323 748.
