Donny Fest organisers swamped with more than 2,000 acts wanting to play
Embrace, The Fratellis and The Enemy have already been announced
Organisers of Donny Fest 2027 say they have been swamped by more than 2,000 acts wanting to play next year’s festival.
Embrace, The Fratellis and The Enemy headed the first major lineup announcement - with hundreds more artists also applying to play next summer’s event.

DonnyFest 2027 is already attracting significant interest from musicians, with more than 2,000 artist submissions received through its Apply to Play initiative ahead of next summer’s festival in Doncaster.
The submissions highlight the depth of musical talent looking to be part of DonnyFest, which returns on Saturday 5 June 2027 at Club Doncaster Sports Village.
The festival has already announced a major first wave of artists, with Yorkshire favourites Embrace set to headline the main stage, joined by Scottish indie rockers The Fratellis and Coventry band The Enemy.

But alongside the established names, DonnyFest is also committed to providing opportunities for emerging artists and helping showcase the next generation of live music talent.
Festival Director Andy O’Grady said: “Receiving more than 2,000 artist submissions is a fantastic response. It shows just how many artists want to be part of DonnyFest, and there’s a huge amount of talent out there.
“We want DonnyFest to be about more than bringing established names to Doncaster. It’s also about creating opportunities for emerging artists, giving people a platform and making sure the festival reflects the music scene around us.
“We’ve announced three brilliant bands in Embrace, The Fratellis and The Enemy, but there’s much more to come as we build towards June 2027.”
The festival is expected to bring thousands of music fans to Doncaster for a full day of live music, with further announcements planned in the coming months.
DonnyFest takes place on Saturday 5 June 2027 at Club Doncaster Sports Village. Tickets are on sale now from £55, with the current price tier available while its allocation lasts.
