Doncaster woods sealed off after illegal bikers cause havoc

Bosses have been forced to temporarily restrict access

Bosses at a popular Doncaster beauty spot have been forced to restrict access after a series of incidents of vandalism and anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikers.

Bentley Community Woodland has suffered problems in recent weeks, bosses have said.

A spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, due to recent episodes of vandalism and anti-social behaviour, we have had to temporarily limit access to the site from the Trans-pennine Trail at the Toll Bar entrance adjacent to the A19.

“There is still pedestrian access whilst we seek a more secure method of restricting motor and quad bikes from entering the site - this will hopefully be only a very short-term restriction.

“Thank you for your support and understanding in this issue.
