Doncaster ARLFC recruiting players for 2027

Doncaster ARLFC is gearing up for the 2027 rugby league season by recruiting players across all age groups, welcoming newcomers and seasoned athletes alike. The club, based in Toll Bar and established in 1993, has a long history of running junior and adult teams and recently expanded its female participation by launching its first all-girls team in 2025. Plans are now underway to introduce a second all-girls team in 2027.
The club’s first team enjoyed a standout 2026 season under the leadership of head coach Peter Green, a former Doncaster and Sheffield player. They completed an unbeaten campaign, securing the treble: the Yorkshire Men’s Premier League leaders shield, the league play-off final, and the Yorkshire Men’s Cup. Building on this success, Doncaster ARLFC will compete in the National Conference League Yorkshire next season and is seeking new players for both the first team and a second team intended to enter its own league for more regular fixtures.
Currently, the club boasts 248 registered players ranging from Tots aged three and above, to Masters aged 35 and over, with many players aged 60 and above remaining active. Additionally, 41 volunteers support the club’s operations.
Anyone interested in trying rugby league or seeking more information is encouraged to contact Doncaster ARLFC.
