The night, organised by SiSi Events founder Sarah Robinson, drew 350 ladies and added to a campaign total that now stands at more than £70,000. Robinson said the event had become a fixture in the Doncaster calendar.

“Bring your Breastie is a firm favourite in the Doncaster calendar and I truly believe there is no other event like it! To have 350 ladies attend is incredibly inspiring; they all arrive as strangers yet strong friendships and bonds are created in that room. It really is a powerful and magical event”

Robinson has supported Cancer Research UK since 2014 through a range of fundraising events and recently won the BBC Sheffield Fundraiser of the Year Award for that work.

This year’s event was backed by G French Jewellery as main sponsor, with further support from Bawtry Eye Academy, the Hilton Garden Inn, Doncaster Racecourse, Chique Boutique, Rooms Group, DUKE Distribution and Capital Barriers. Claudia at Cherished Photography and Magic Touch also donated their time and talent.

Robinson said the campaign was part of a wider effort to turn Doncaster Pink and raise awareness of breast cancer.

“At the heart of Bring your Breastie and Pink Doncaster is a mission to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage the younger generation to self-check. Having the students at Doncaster College take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month will hopefully start conversations early. If every person takes that conversation home to the family and makes breast checking part of their regular routine, then lives will be saved” says Sarah.

The momentum has continued into 2027, with tickets for Bring your Breastie selling out within 24 hours. SiSi Events is already taking bookings for the waiting list, while G French Jewellery has agreed to return as main sponsor and Rooms Group has also pledged to sponsor again.

Plans are also under way for the next Pink Doncaster campaign, with conversations already started with businesses to Join Pink Doncaster next October.

The campaign will continue with the return of the bra-throwing photoshoot at Doncaster Racecourse on Sunday 6th June 2027. Robinson says the shoot remains an important part of the project, using the image of women standing together to raise awareness of breast cancer.
