Upset neighbour claims Doncaster charity hostel used for drug dealing
The charity has urged people to report complaints to police
An upset resident has claimed that a national charity’s Doncaster hostel to help vulnerable people out of homelessness has become a magnet for drug-dealing and anti-social behaviour.
The neighbour says Hunt Lane in Bentley has been blighted by drug dealers - and has called on police and charity Changing Lives to take action.

The resident, who we have chosen not to name said: “The charity is responsible for a property in my neighbourhood that findsaccommodation for vulnerable adults.
“Despite this being their objective and constant photographic evidence and emails of an alleged drug dealing operation and the receiving of stolen goods, they have taken no action in addressing the inhabitants and the ongoing issues or taking into consideration the effect it has on the residents in close proximity.”
He added: “The police have been very good and are trying to sort the issues I have mentioned.
“I would like to see evidence of an explanation as to why, despite all the evidence I have provided, over several months that they still allow it to continue.
“The majority of Doncaster's homeless community and drug users are turning up all hours of the day and night.

Paul Fitzpatrick, Service Manager, Doncaster Homelessness Services on behalf of Changing Lives said: “We do not share details about the people we support or where they live.
“Through our Housing First service, we provide homes across Doncaster for people with long histories of homelessness, along with ongoing support.
“We take all complaints seriously.
“Where concerns are raised with us, our housing team investigates and works with residents, tenants and partner agencies to resolve them.
“In this instance, our team has met with the neighbour who raised concerns, and we are working with the local ward councillor.
“We would encourage anyone who witnesses criminal activity to report it to South Yorkshire Police on 101. Local residents are also welcome to contact us directly.”
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are aware of concerns around anti-social behaviour on Hunt Lane, in Doncaster.
“We are currently working closely with Doncaster Council and local councillors following different reports made to us.
“We encourage residents to contact us and the council if they have any concerns around anti-social behaviour.”
