13. Iain Hume
12/13 appearances: 36. The Preston loanee made a major impact in the 12/13 season and was handed a chance with the Lilywhites the following term. He was loaned to Fleetwood before switching to the Indian Premier League in the summer of 2014. Much of his playing time since has been in India, with spells at Tranmere and in Spain punctuating his spells on the subcontinent. Photo: STEVE TAYLOR
14. James Husband
12/13 appearances: 40. After his breakout season, the academy product was a regular in the Championship the following term. He earned a move to Middlesbrough - Rovers receiving Curtis Main and £500k in the deal. The full back had loan spells with Fulham and Huddersfield before signing for Norwich. Further loans at Fleetwood and Blackpool followed before the Tangerines made the deal permanent in January. Photo: Jon Buckle
15. Rob Jones
12/13 appearances: 49. The talismanic captain never enjoyed a better season at Rovers than the one in which he guided them to the League One title. A severe neck injury saw to that and robbed him of 18 months of his career. He did take the reins as caretaker manager but lost out to Darren Ferguson for the permanent role and was sidelined by the new boss. He joined Hartlepool United before retiring in the summer of 2017. 16. Paul Keegan
12/13 appearances: 30. He went from utility man to Mr Reliable for Rovers in midfield for another four years after the League One title win, though injury blighted his later years. He returned to his native Republic of Ireland after more than 140 appearances for Rovers. and currently plays for Bray Wanderers. Photo: MARTYN HARRISON
