But how have the squad performed on an individual basis so far? Here, we have rated each player based on the first 23 league matches of the campaign. Only those with five or more appearances this term are included.
9. Cameron John 7.5
He was the unexpected signing of the summer and he has gone on to prove to be a wise piece of business for Rovers. Another one in the versatility pile, John has plied his trade at left back more often than not. While there were a few teething problems as he adapted into the role, he is growing in confidence and stature with each passing week, particularly with his attacking play where his crossing has come to the fore. 10. Tyreece John-Jules 7.5
It has been a pretty cruel season for the Arsenal loanee on the injury front. But when he has been out on the pitch, he has been very impressive indeed. Athletic, strong, quick and dangerous, John-Jules has led the line for Rovers with quality and a lack of selfishness. A very promising player, he has shown moments of devastation and also brought others into the game exceptionally well. Let’s hope we see more of him sooner rather than later. 11. Jason Lokilo 6
The 22-year-old is still looking to ignite his Rovers career after being limited to five starts this season. He has looked stronger in more recent appearances but had previously struggled to be effective off the bench as much as he would have liked. There is more to come. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
12. Fejiri Okenabirhie 7.5
The striker has carried so much responsibility and weight on his shoulders this season and has consistently proved strong enough to handle the challenge. He needed to wait for his opportunity this term but he has led the line very well since coming into the side. Okenabirhie tops the scoring charts, having shown his finishing ability, but his position as the focal point in the side has arguably been more important, particularly with his hold-up play. There are some games where he is not quite as effective but his workrate can never be doubted. He also performed well when playing out wide. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
