Doncaster Rovers’ boss five word message to the team after MK Dons hammering
Doncaster Rovers were hammered 6-1 by MK Dons in their biggest defeat of the season so far
Grant McCann said that his message to the players after the defeat at MK Dons was simply “I’ll see you all tomorrow.”
The Rovers boss, who was keen to take accountability for the 6-1 loss at the Stadium MK, is keen to address what went wrong after a result which will have frightened those in attendance much more than any Halloween costume would be capable of.

Aaron Collins scored a quick fire double to send Doncaster Rovers into half-time two goals down. McCann changed formation at the break by going back to the 3421 system that he’d used frequently throughout the opening 10 games of the campaign and initially looked like he’d get a bit of a response out of the players, with Jordan Thomas reducing the deficit.
However, the worst was still to come with Collins securing his hat-trick in the 69th minute before adding a fourth just seven minutes later. Paul Warne’s side, determined to rub further salt in the wounds of a leaky Rovers defence then added further goals through Callum Paterson and Marvin Ekpiteta to make matters even worse for the visitors.
“We need to look at this quickly,” explained a dejected McCann.
“The players will be in tomorrow to look at this because it can't linger through until Monday morning, with everyone coming and thinking everything's okay.
“We've just been absolutely dominated from minute one.”
“When you're having a tough time and when the team's so much on top of you, like MK Dons were today, you need to rally around, keep a structure about you andmake sure you defend properly. We didn't.
“The personnel I've put on the pitch today haven't delivered. That's my responsibility.”
