The 2026/27 Doncaster Rovers Third Kit will be worn for the first time this weekend against AFC Wimbledon

Doncaster Rovers have unveiled their new third kit for the 2026/27 campaign.

The all-yellow strip with a black trim, takes inspiration from the colours and pageantry of the world’s oldest classic horse race, the historic St Leger Stakes, first run at Doncaster Racecourse in 1776 and recognised as the oldest of Britain’s five Classic horse races.

This new kit launch coincides nicely with the race’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and takes its influence from legendary racing silks worn by Lester Piggott during one of the most famous moments in racing history. He notably rode the great Nijinsky to victory in the St Leger, completing the coveted Triple Crown in the process and writing his name into the history books as one of the sport’s all-time greats.

On that historic day, Piggott wore distinctive silks featuring a green body, yellow sleeves and a red cross-body sash. Those famous colours have provided the inspiration for Rovers' 2026/27 new kit.The shirt is paired with white shorts and yellow socks, each featuring Oxen branding to complete the look.

The new kit will be donned for the first time this weekend when Grant McCann’s side make the journey to AFC Wimbledon, and will also be available to purchase online and immediately in the Club Shop from 9am on Friday.

For adults the shirt is priced at £55 while for juniors and toddlers it will cost £45 and £40 respectively. The shorts are priced at £40 for adults and £27 for juniors.
