Pupils at Doncaster school swap studies for tough obstacle course
Pupils got stuck into the challenge on their first week back after the summer holidays
Youngsters at a Doncaster primary school swapped studies for a tough obstacle course, aimed at fostering friendships and team building.
Pupils at Plover Primary in Intake started their first week back after the summer holidays by stopping maths and English and dedicated the first week to building relationships, focusing on courage and resilience and serving the community.
As well as the obstacle course, youngsters visied care homes, did litter picking and took thank you notes to the community.
A school spokesperson said: “The Rough Runner took real courage because it was a changing course in the rain.
“We believe building crew is the most important thing we do.”
“Our wonderful children showed so much kindness and patience to one another to help everyone finish the course.
“This is exactly what crew is all about. It doesn’t matter how long it takes us as long as we all get there together.”
