More than 450 drivers have been targeted by police on a speeding clampdown in Doncaster.

Officers from Doncaster South Neighbourhood Policing Team focused their efforts on the Conisbrough area.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Your Conisbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out and about with our speed camera, in key hot spot locations.

“During our daily taskings, we have been at Hilltop Road, Doncaster Road, Sheffield Road, Denaby Avenue and over in Clifton.

“We have checked in excess 450 vehicles, across 20, 30 and 40mph speed limits and have taken positive action with a number of these vehicles.

“It is our mission to keep our roads safe for local residents, pedestrians and drivers alike and we will be ramping this up as we lead into the Operation Anticipate and the Christmas period.”
