Doncaster man spared jail over machete and chainsaw attack
The court heard the 22-year-old hurled a chainsaw at his victim
A Doncaster thug who attacked a man with a machete and chainsaw has been spared jail.
The courts heard that on 18 June, Bradley Ingle viciously attacked a victim in the Mexborough area, attempting to harm him with a machete.

Ingle then attempted to attack the victim again with a chainsaw by throwing it at him.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured during the incident.
“Ingle then drove a vehicle away from the scene, while he only was in possession of a provisional license.

“The whole incident was captured on CCTV and when reviewed Ingle was immediately identified by our officers as being the person responsible.
“He was quickly arrested and charged with attempt to cause grievous bodily harm, threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place, affray, and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.”
He appeared before Sheffield Crown Court on 30 July where he pleaded not guilty to attempting to cause GBH but guilty to the other charges.
Ingle, 22, of Sycamore Court, Mexborough, appeared before the same court last Wednesday (14 October) where he was handed a 12-month sentence suspended for 18-months.
