Doncaster woman stars as contestant on hit ITV quiz show The Chase

A Doncaster woman put herself in the hotseat – by appearing as a contestant on popular ITV quiz show The Chase.

The woman, named only as Jill, appeared on Monday night’s episode of the teatime game show, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

Joined by Laura from Durham, Jermaine from Hertfordshire and Dan from London, she returned from her solo round with just £1,000 as she went up against chaser Shaun Wallace.

But she made it all the way to the final with her fellow players Dan and Jermaine.

However, it wasn't to be as the chaser caught them and their £8,000 was taken from them.

She becomes the latest in a line of Doncaster people to star on the show.

A contestant, named only as Sarah, appeared on the show last October attempting to win £25,000 while in 2020, a pub landlord named as Dan starred on the show

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
