The landlord, introduced only as Dan on the ITV quiz hosted by Bradley Walsh, walked away with £10,666 as he and two fellow contestants saw off the challenge of Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett in the final Chase segment of tonight’s episode.

He revealed he was in charge of a Doncaster town centre pub he'd taken over running from his mum and dad.

And it looks like his staff will also be celebrating – promising them a trip to Benidorm if he triumphed.

Doncaster pub landlord Dan saw off the challenge of The Beast on The Chase.

During his cashbuilder round, Dan chalked up £5,000 – and despite an offer of £63,000, he stuck with his cashpot saying: “My dad would kill me if I took the lower offer.”

In the final round, Dan and his team-mates saw off The Beast to claim a £32,000 win.
