Ghostly figure caught on camera by paranormal team at Doncaster museum

Paranormal investigators spent the night investigating South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum

Paranormal investigators captured a ghostly figure on camera at a Doncaster museum - and believe they may also have taken a picture of the spirit of a pilot.

The team were investigating Doncaster’s South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum - and took a number of photos which they say show ghosts and spirits at the Lakeside museum.

Dean Buckley took three photos - one which he says show the “spirit of a pilot” caught alongside one of the planes in the hangar, as well as a face seen above a plane.

Another shot shows the outline of a figure caught on camera.

He said: “We saw him stood in person - a few of us did that night.”

Dean was joined on his investigation by paranormal Investigator Jordan Brookes and medium Lynda Brookes.

The pair said: “The hangar is said to be the most active of the areas to investigate, and we experienced a vast amount of activity and moments investigating it.

“A lot of strange bangs were heard in the hangar throughout the evening for both groups investigating it, along with approaching footsteps that seemed to be wandering around the place, with one instance setting off a REM Pod device as the footsteps walked past it.

“Everyone was accounted for when this occurred a few times throughout the night, so we know this phenomena wasn't the groups.

“Could this have been the phantom pilots that many ghost hunters often see and hear?

“Sudden drops in temperature were felt and detected on temperature readers in the hangar, and a strange light anomaly was spotted near the roof of the hangar circling around twice before disappearing.

“We also experienced sudden movements in between the aircraft that kept appearing and disappearing, as if we were not alone inside there

“Strange whistles were heard a couple of times throughout the night by both groups.

“In the hangar, the team also encountered a spirit called "Tom", an aircraft engineer who said he passed away on-site in 1983.

“One group connected with a Spitfire pilot who emotionally revealed he had died over water, and another group came into contact with the spirit of a male pilot who had succumbed to severe burns suffered during a wartime crash. - this was interesting because on a previous ghost hunt a guest felt a burning sensation on her leg, back and face.

“Groups felt an atmosphere of being watched by unseen energies, accompanied by shadow figures dashing quickly from one room to another, and footsteps again being heard emanating from the corridor.

“The name Daniel was picked up on the spirit board along with his age of 25; a wartime nurse was also sensed here.

“Overall the night's event proved to us that the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum is most definitely haunted with many of its resident ghosts still lingering around.

Dean says he experienced a young man spirit watching on and added: “We heard footsteps at the end of the corridor.

“We saw a guy in overalls top of the stairs in the hangar.”
