Doncaster nail artist wants to bring pampering to care homes and hospitals
She wants to take pampering sessions into the community
A Doncaster nail artist is reaching out to local care homes and hospitals so she can bring pampering sessions into the community.
Chloe Bathgate, who runs Nails by Chloe Bathgate, is calling for help from the public to help realise her plan.
She said: “I’ve had an idea - and I’d love help.
“I’ve been thinking about something I’d really love to do as a nail technician.
“I’d love to be able to give something back to people in our local community by offering little pamper days to people who might not normally be able to get out to a salon.
“I’m wondering if there are any wards at Doncaster hospital, children’s facilities, care homes or nursing homes that have drop-in/community days where I could come along and give patients or residents a little bit of pampering?
“Whether it’s a simple manicure or gel nails or just some time spent making someone feel a little bit special, I’d love to bring the salon experience to them.
“Everyone deserves to be pampered.
“Not everyone has the ability to get dressed, leave the house and come into a salon, and I’d love to change that for even just a few people.
“I’d be more than happy to donate my time for an initial pamper day.
“If a care home or facility was interested in having me visit regularly, I’d also be happy to discuss pricing and what would work best for them.
“Of course, I’d follow all the necessary health, safety, infection-control and safeguarding requirements, and only provide treatments that are suitable and approved for each setting.
“You never know who might need a little bit of kindness, a bit of conversation and a reason to smile.”
