This is very dangerous. A 16 year old boy tragically died in Rotherham after trying to save a friend who had got into difficulty whilst swimming in Ulley Reservoir and someone also died last weekend after swimming in open water at Crookesmoor Park in Sheffield.

Water may look safe, but it can be dangerous. Learn to spot and keep away from dangers. You may swim well in a warm indoor pool, but that does not mean that you will be able to swim in cold water.

The dangers of water include:

In the early hours of Monday July 12 two men ran from their parked van into Moto Services at Junction 5 of the M18, and stole four £10 cases of lager.

They saw officers who were on patrol and ran off into woodland.

The van was driven the wrong way round the roundabout and down the new link road with no lights on.
