A Doncaster councillor has condemned the action of the driver in the video and hopes action will be taken against the driver.

The dramatic video shows a vehicle back up and hit a man who dives out of the way dramatically.

He was knocked to the floor and it appears a verbal altercation took place between the driver and the pedestrian.

The incident happened on Cleveland Street on June 8, 2021 at approximately 2.06pm.

Cllr David Shaw shared his outrage about this incident on Twitter.

He said: “I take my position as Chair of Licensing in @MyDoncaster very seriously.

"This is totally unacceptable and action should be taken against the license holder of this vehicle.”

Davis has a senior officer looking into the matter with hopes to identify the driver and then take appropriate action.
