The incident dates back to January 4, when there was an incident involving youths picked up on CCTV. It appeared to show someone producing a knife, and that has caused significant concern.

We initially had a report that someone had been assaulted, but when we made inquiries, the suspected victim would not say what had happened. We have been checking CCTV across Conisbrough town centre, to see what happened. It appears to show a group of youths and a fight breaking out, and what appears to be a knife being pulled out.

We have a youth currently on bail with a condition to stay out of Conisbrough town centre. We are still looking at the CCTV, and would like to hear any information the public can give us about the incident, which was at around 1.30pm on Church Street.

Other incidents in Conisbrough recently have seen a raid on a house on Marchvale Rise, Conisbrough, on January 16, where cannabis was seized. The occupant has been interviewed and reported to court.

We have also seen the arrest of a man after a stop and search for possession of a knife and class B drugs on a street in Denaby on January 15.

Houses have also been raided in Mexborough in recent weeks.

A man was searched on January 16 on Schofield Street, and a house searched on Wood Street as a result. That led to the arrest of a man and a woman and the seizure of a quantity of cannabis and cash. They were released under investigation, suspected of drug possession and money laundering.

On the same day we carried out a warrant on Hirstgate, Mexborough, where the occupant was interviewed and reported to court over possession of cannabis.

We have also dismantled a cannabis farm on Schofield Street, where we found 65 cannabis plants, lamps and watering equipment, and bypassed electricity.

Finally, we continue to provide reassurance patrols in Adwick, following a suspected murder earlier this month, and an incident which saw a gun fired at a building.
