Through this support, The Crown Hotel Bawtry has become involved in Tubs for Pubs, a recycling campaign that raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support by diverting clean plastic tubs from landfill and converting them into charitable donations.

Nationally, the initiative has already saved more than 470,000 plastic tubs from landfill, raising £34,828.90 to support Macmillan’s vital work for people affected by cancer.

Cancer awareness and social responsibility form a key part of The Crown Bawtry Collection’s ongoing CSR programme, with the business using its platform, partnerships and community reach to support causes that create long-term impact.

The initiative is managed by Charlotte Lister, who oversees the group’s CSR projects and partnerships, including the Platinum Partnership with DRFC.

Alongside her professional role, Charlotte is also a hopeful Ms Great Britain finalist, and plans to continue using the platform to support cancer awareness initiatives in the future, aligning her advocacy with the wider community and sustainability goals of The Crown Collection.

“The Crown Hotel and the wider Crown Collection are proud to work alongside 100 Club on initiatives that give back to the community,” said Charlotte Lister.

“By combining sustainability with fundraising, projects like Tubs for Pubs allow local businesses to make a tangible difference while supporting an important national charity.”

Looking ahead, The Crown Hotel Bawtry aims to expand its involvement in fundraising campaigns, partnerships and community-led initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility, sustainability and local impact.

This collaboration demonstrates how hospitality businesses, sports partnerships and community advocates can work together to support national charities while promoting positive environmental and social change.
