17:40 Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival Apprentice Handicap

The opening race sees six runners tackling a 5f trip, with a wide mix of experience on show. With a strong record at this course, Ancient Times should overcome a 2lb rise to do well after winning last time out at Epsom and is the pick here.

Next up, a Class 4 run over 7f sees a number of promising newcomers take to the turf. The pick of the bunch is Regalism, who as a debutant will need to be kept a close eye on in the market with a good profile for a leading stable.

18:45 Lakeside Village Is 30 Handicap

Following this, a 7f Class 3 features nine runners. Having only won on the all-weather previously, Yorkshire is taking a step down in class to deliver a first win on turf - this is a suitable setting for the in-form Edward Bethell yard.

19:15 Summer Fun At Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping Handicap

In the fourth race, a Class 6 for experienced campaigners is a wide open contest. With a win here on his record, Thapa VC is an appealing option, a long losing run was nearly ended in June before a solid follow-up at Kempton, and he is of interest.

19:50 Summer Saturdays At Doncaster Handicap

A longer 1m 3f race follows, with six runners featuring in this Class 5. Boilermaker appeals off a nice mark having taken well to handicaps and now has cheekpieces fitted for the first time which will hopefully bring even more out of him.

The penultimate race is another Class 6, with this handicap being run over 7f. It’s a hard one to call with plenty of competition, but Penny Ghent is in a nice rhythm having won twice in May before a nice third at Beverley last time and would be no surprise to see her do well here.

21:00 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap

Finally, the longest trip of the afternoon is this Class 5 handicap, albeit with just four runners to choose from. As the sole 3yo, Tabasko will command attention, but Pyleates has strong placing form of late and stepping down in class could be to her advantage as well.
