'We just need to find a way' - Doncaster Rovers man targets rot-stopping result at Stockport County
Doncaster Rovers make the trip to Stockport County tonight looking to end 2025 on a high after a bleak last few months.
The first three quarters of the calendar year were largely positive for Rovers, with a dramatic League Two title capture followed by a strong opening month back in the third tier.

But a horror run of just one league win in their last 15 games means Grant McCann's side head to Edgeley Park second-bottom in the division. Defender Matty Pearson is hopeful Rovers can awake from their slumber against a side that beat them at the Eco-Power Stadium less than three weeks ago.
"We're all working hard," the centre-half said. "It's not a case of downing tools or anything like that. We'll work even harder now to get back into this. We're straight back into it, straight back playing again (over Christmas) and trying to put it right.
"We just need to find a way. Sometimes once you do that the momentum starts again and that's what we need to find. The main thing is finding a way, getting a result and building from that."
McCann confirmed that right-back Jamie Sterry is 50-50 for tonight's game after going off at half-time in the Boxing Day loss to Blackpool with a thigh-related knock.
Despite the rotten run, the Northern Irishman remains steadfast in his belief that things can quickly change: "The reality is that we're a couple of wins away from mid-table. That's how tight this division is. It feels crap at the minute in terms of where we are and the results but we need to produce more and a couple of wins could put us in a really good place in the division and looking above rather than below us.
"So that's where our focus is and we have to keep that drive and determination that we can put ourselves in a good position in this league because everything can (quickly) look a lot better."
