LIVE: Doncaster Rovers 0 Wycombe Wanderers 2

Striker Sam Vokes misses the game for Wycombe after welcoming his second child. It sees former Rovers forward Adebayo Akinfenwa start up front for the Chairboys.

And it’s one change from the side that started the win over MK Dons as Tiago Cukur comes in with Ethan Galbraith dropping to the bench.

We’re expecting a 4-2-3-1 system, as was the case against MK - another side that, like Wycombe, play with three at the back.

Jon Taylor returns to the squad for the first time since March but, as expected, only makes the bench. Boss Richie Wellens says he is reluctant to use Taylor this afternoon unless absolutely necessary.

Something to build on

It feels like a long time ago now but Rovers went into the international break on a wave of positivity following the result, and arguably more importantly the performance, against MK Dons.

Much of the focus of the last fortnight has been on maintaining the good mood and growing the confidence to ensure Rovers quickly put to bed the poor start to the season.

Building a run of good form, and continuing the positive run at home, will be tricky given the identity of today’s opponents.

Wycombe are rightly positioned as one of the promotion favourites this season, having returned from an impressive debut season in the Championship all the more strong.

Rovers know exactly what they are in for against an energetic, physically imposing team that won’t give them a minute’s peace.
