Rovers head into Saturday’s clash at Sixfields Stadium without the influential Tom Anderson and uncertainty hanging over the fitness of two more defenders, Kyle Knoyle and Adam Long.
All three players limped off injured in last weekend's 2-1 win over Salford City, leaving Rovers to see out the match with a makeshift defence.
Injuries could provide an opportunity for young centre-half Bobby Faulkner to make his first professional start against the Cobblers.
Having turned 18 earlier this month, Faulkner impressed off the bench last time out and could fill in at either right-back in the centre of defence.
Here’s how we expect Doncaster to line up.

9. LM - Tommy Rowe
Will definitely play, it's just a case of where he might be utilised. Would expect to see him out left, but could potentially tuck into central midfield or even a left wing-back role. Photo: HOWARD ROE, Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD

10. RM - Kyle Hurst
Probably the first name on the team sheet this week after a potentially coming-of-age display last time out. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD

11. AM - Lee Tomlin
Quickly becoming one of Rovers' most important players. Put two big shifts in last week and did the less glamorous aspects of the job well. Photo: HOWARD ROE

12. ST - George Miller
Worked hard against Salford and was unlucky not to see a chance fall his way. Photo: HOWARD ROE, Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
