Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances on a disastrous afternoon at the Mazuma Stadium. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
9. Aiden Barlow 7
Started the game like lightning and Morecambe struggled to live with his crossfield and direct runs plus his link-up play around the box. He deserved his goal and could have had more in the early stages. He faded as the half wore on and was forced off injured in the second half. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
10. Omar Bogle 7
Ran his socks off during his time on the pitch and gave Morecambe something to think about with his physicality and movement on his first league start of the season. Really unfortunate to be forced off with a muscle injury before the break. His influence was even more apparent after he went off. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
11. Jordy Hiwula 3
Like everyone, he started the game well and looked a threat on the left without testing the goalkeeper. Massively struggled in the second half when he needed to be an outlet and continually played Rovers into trouble. He didn’t help himself by getting under pressure in the second half with a needless booking. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
12. Joe Dodoo 2
On for the injured Bogle and simply failed to replicate the basics of the game that his fellow striker had produced. He needed to make the ball stick and he was beaten in the air and physically time and time again. And he showed a major lack of decision-making with his one chance to ease the pressure on the breakaway. Photo: Doncaster Rovers FC
