Doncaster Rovers v Port Vale LIVE

Molyneux wins a corner

The winger looks confident and takes another shot on after cutting in. It’s deflected and Doncaster have their eighth corner of the afternoon.

Chance wasted for Port Vale

A free-kick is taken early and catches Doncaster out, but Ben Garrity can’t get the ball under control and it runs away from him.

On: James Wilson and Oliver Arblaster

Off: Ellis Harrison and Tom Sang

Chance for Molynuex

Connor Ripley tips his effort from the edge of the box wide. Didn’t look to be heading for goal but the Vale stopper isn’t taking any chances.

Rovers just not quite at it

Molyneux overhits his cross to the far post and it misses everyone. Openings have been few and far between this afternoon but Rovers haven’t made the most of them when they have come.

Wood involved in the action again

Good defending to cut a cross out after a nice flick from Ellis Harrison released Mitch Clark down the right-hand side.

He meets Ben Close’s free-kick delivery but his header is straight at Connor Ripley. Linesman had already flagged for offside.

Rovers might be glad for a breather after that. They’ve held their defensive line but have been outran and outfought by their League One opponents. Still, a good test one week out from Harrogate - and it’s level. Will be interesting to see how they come out for the second half, definitely need a bit more going forward.
