Barrie McKay’s second half goal was enough to settle a dull encounter.

Back home for the penultimate time this season

The bitterly disappointing defeat at Accrington Stanley in midweek looks to have removed the final skerrick of wind from Rovers’ sails this season and has left them with only pride to play for over the final five matches of the campaign.

Yes, there remains a mathematical possibility that they will make the play-offs but it seems incredibly unlikely at this stage.

What everyone is crying out for is some positivity over this next fortnight to end the season on a happier note than this irritating feeling of frustration and disappointment.

It will be tough this afternoon against a bogey side - one that is physical, hard working and in your face.

Playing with a bit of freedom as they did at Shrewsbury would help. We just desperately don’t want another disappointing afternoon.
