Barrie McKay’s second half goal was enough to settle a dull encounter.

Danny Andrew curls a beauty narrowly wide of the far post from the right corner of the box.

20min Interesting start

Rovers are attempting to be a bit more controlled in possession than they have been in recent weeks but so far it’s only translated to longer periods where they’re holding the ball at the back. The ball into midfield is good but the use of it in the opposition half has been sloppy so far. It seems like they need an injection of tempo to proceedings.

Josh Sims blasts over the bar from the edge of the area. Good delivery from Matt Smith from a free kick out wide, it’s nodded out and Sims pounces.

8min Bit more tenacity

Rovers are showing a bit more bite and bravery in the middle of the park and it is helping them take the sting out of the intensity of Fleetwood’s play. They’ve just had a promising attack off the back of it with Scott Robertson winning a 50-50 in the middle of the park.

It’s going to be needed.

Some thoughts via the medium of video

And it’s FOUR changes from the side that started the defeat at Accrington.

The big switch sees Louis Jones return between the sticks in place of Ellery Balcombe - who is not involved at all, with Ben Bottomley coming onto the bench.

After his impressive cameo off the bench in midweek, Scott Robertson comes into midfield in place of John Bostock.

James Coppinger and Jason Lokilo drop out with Josh Sims and Tyreece John-Jules coming in.

Omar Bogle is out and Brad Halliday’s back issue shows little sign of clearing up sufficiently to allow him to play so Andy Butler again will be faced with the same options he has had over the last week - with added Josh Sims and a more available Tyreece John-Jules.

The Arsenal striker is available to start, but will Butler throw him straight in? Or perhaps has he eyed Tuesday night as the one to unleash John-Jules from the start?

He could well change goalkeepers after Ellery Balcombe’s error at Accrington in midweek, presenting Louis Jones with a chance to see out the season between the sticks.

Possible: Jones, Wright, Anderson, Butler, James, Smith, Robertson, Coppinger, Richards, Sims, Okenabirhie.
