Goals from Joe Ironside and Hakeeb Adelakun put them 2-0 up before a late consolation from Isaac Hutchinson. Grant McCann’s side were well worth the win, as they made it seven wins on the bounce.
They are now just four points off the League Two play-off spots.
Here’s how we rated the Rovers players:
9. Tommy Rowe - 6
Threaded things together between midfield and attack but wavered as the game wore on. Replaced by Biggins just after the hour mark. Photo: HOWARD ROE
10. Hakeeb Adelakun - 8
Looked capable at any moment of sprinkling stardust on a contest that badly needed it. He duly provided the killer second with a brave header to double Rovers' lead. Photo: HOWARD ROE
11. Joe Ironside - 8
Notched his first goal in eight matches with a fine finish just before half-time. Aerially he dominated, winning 11 duels. Will be hoping this is the start of another purple patch. Photo: HOWARD ROE
12. Harrison Biggins - 6
Added some energy when he came on just after the hour. Photo: HOWARD ROE
