Most notably, of course, was the departure of manager Darren Moore, who left his post with the club to take on a new role with Sheffield Wednesday.
Rovers are still very much in with a fighting chance of mounting a promotion charge, however.
But where do the experts think Doncaster will finish now that Moore has left, and who are they tipping for promotion to the Championship?
One set of data analysts have released their latest predictions on how the League One table will finish - and it makes for interesting reading after a busy period in the division, which has seen a number of teams drop points.

The Gas lost to Swindon Town in midweek to further compound their relegation woes, and aren't being tipped to pull up any trees in the final months of the campaign.
