Doncaster Rovers have had to deal with some serious hurdles in their efforts to win promotion to the Championship this season.

Most notably, of course, was the departure of manager Darren Moore who left his post with the club to take on a new role with Sheffield Wednesday.

Rovers are still very much in with a fighting chance of mounting a promotion charge, however.

But where do the experts think Doncaster will finish now that Moore has left, and who are they tipping for promotion to the Championship?

The Gas lost to Swindon Town in midweek to further compound their relegation woes, and aren't being tipped to pull up any trees in the final months of the campaign. They recently sacked Paul Tisdale (above), so can new appointment Joey Barton secure survival? The experts don't think so. Predicted points total: 42

One set of data analysts have released their latest predictions on how the League One table will finish - and it makes for interesting reading after a busy period in the division, which has seen a number of teams drop points.

A side who have taken points from the Black Cats this term, Brian Barry-Murphy's side are being tipped to finish in the bottom four after some shaky results in recent weeks. Predicted points total: 43
Even after a points deduction, the experts were still tipping Wigan to stay up for much of the season but now believe they won't be able to retain their League One status - despite a Bahraini takeover lifting the mood. Predicted points total: 44
The Dons dismissed manager Glyn Hodges as they look to climb away from relegation danger. And the experts believe that move will pay off - with Wimbledon narrowly tipped to avoid the drop. Predicted points total: 44
The Cobblers recently parted company with Keith Curle (above) in a bid to get themselves out of relegation dangers, and experts think they'll just be able to keep their heads above water this term after Tuesday's win over Oxford United. Predicted points total: 44
The Robins currently sit just above the bottom four, but aren't being tipped to drop into the danger zone before the season is out - despite some indifferent form of late. Predicted points total: 48
The Brewers sat bottom of League One for much of the season but had a busy January as they looked to claw themselves away from danger - and the experts feel the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will help in that regard. They've been in stunning form of late and may now avoid the drop. Predicted points total: 54
Ryan Lowe's side have looked like an impressive outfit at times this season - but are being tipped to finish in the bottom half come May. Predicted points total: 57
David Artell's side saw some of their hot prospects plucked by higher division sides in January, and their final league position is now predicted to suffer slightly as a result. Predicted points total: 62
Having shown signs of improvement of Steve Cotterill, the experts are backing the Shrews to climb the table before the season is out. Predicted points total: 63
